Reformed Churchmen

We are Confessional Calvinists and a Prayer Book Church-people. In 2012, we remembered the 350th anniversary of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer; also, we remembered the 450th anniversary of John Jewel's sober, scholarly, and Reformed "An Apology of the Church of England." In 2013, we remembered the publication of the "Heidelberg Catechism" and the influence of Reformed theologians in England, including Heinrich Bullinger's Decades. For 2014: Tyndale's NT translation. For 2015, John Roger, Rowland Taylor and Bishop John Hooper's martyrdom, burned at the stakes. Books of the month. Heidelblog: "Comments Changes"

A most sad moment in blogdom. Dr. Clark, please come back? A Confessional Reformed scholar is, essentially, going offline. Lamentably.

Heidelblog

Dr. Clark advises:

I’ve tried different approaches to comments but the time has come (again) to close comments on the HB. I’m sorry that I won’t see intelligent, thoughtful, delightful comments that appear (you happy band of commenters know who you are) but there are other comments and commenters that I won’t miss.

Why the change? I’ve found that it takes up too much time. Indeed, as I’ve been reflecting for the last few days about my online life I think that the HB has taken up too much time and kept me from doing other things I need to do (such as reading and writing). The HB isn’t going away but I am going to simplify my online life. Stay tuned.
